Snarkitecture is a collaborative practice operating in territories between the disciplines of art and architecture. Their entry Drift Pavilion at Design Miami 2012 was created from several hundred white vinyl tubes inflated with air.
This delicate animation follows the charming rise and fold of a fragile metropolis. Paper City grows in one fluid take, with skyscrapers rising from the page – only to crumble, wrinkle and gently crease back into the ground.
German weekly newspaper Zeit published a great series by American documentary photographer Ed Wray about pimped Vespa lookalikes in Indonesia, after all the production facility of the legendary scooter till 2001. The photographs were taken during a scooter festival in Cibeureum, about 100 km west of Jakarta.
Suited to the big summer heat, this well-made music video features a man on fire who is running through a forest. Backward. Video for the song »Rivers« by Small Feet.
If you just plain hanging around on a vacation to a beach, watch out for these curious installations made out of plastic bottles, wood planks and other garbage washed up from the sea. The project Human Debris by american photographer Jeremy Underwood spotlights the environmental condition of Houston’s waterways through the building of site-specific sculptures assembled out of discarded material.

Late, but there you have it! Coincidentally lot of music from Australia is what I recognized – otherwise the usual dramaturgy: starts with the more acoustic stuff, ends with the more electronic ones (except of the last track which is a cover version what I just noticed after recording the podcast, anyways)
