Staring Out the Window

Fulton Lights – »Staring Out the Window« directed by Ninian Doff. Crows and humans share the ability to keep a good rhythm, at least director Ninian Doff believes so. Crows with hands, holding a microphone, playing drums and hopping around. Once you’ve seen this, you will think every crow is hiding a pair under their wings.

Cirrus

Bonobo – Cirrus directed by Cyriak. The music video by New York-based producer Bonobo is animated in a most fantastic way, all of it layered into a kaleidoscope of pretty colors and vintage footage.

Yet Again

Brooklyn experimental rockers Grizzly Bear have released a clip for »Yet Again«, taken from their new album »Shields«. The symbolic journey of a figure skater. The video was directed by Emily Kai Bock.

Ich R U

Boys Noize – »Ich R U« directed by Patrick Jean & Sebastien Loghman. »Ich R U« is taken out of the new Boys Noize album »Out Of The Black«. More than 200 computer keyboards and some excellent stop motion animation were used during the making of this video.

Fatty Boom Boom

Die Antwoord – »Fatty Boom Boom«. Hell on earth! Once more, Die Antwoord made a brightly hysterical music clip with sensational dance moves and superbes grimaces. One highlight: a Lady Gaga look-alike has a sight in the streets of South Africa wearing the meat dress which she wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Music video and story concept by Ninja and Yo-landi Vi$$er.

Black Mold

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion – »Black Mold« directed by Toon Aerts. This clip is much more than your everyday SciFi werewolf bedtime story, I am even not sure that it is a werewolf. Perhaps a monster? In any case, it puts a little more horror into your evening. Belgian director Toon Aerts shot this mystery music clip in Wallonië in the southern part of Belgium. Yet, this song marks something like a comeback for The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

Willow – Sweater

Willow – »Sweater« directed by Filip Sterckx. The kings of over-staged music videos a.k.a. OK GO could get into serious difficulties. Guys, the competition never sleeps, certainly not in the highly complex cultural industry. I think »Sweater« is probably the coolest music video these days. Three beamers projecting on a floor and two walls: 3D mapping at its best!
