This is the 4th volume of our little mix series combining tracks from all over of the netaudio world that have (for me) a somehow „submarine“ sound. It mixes not less than 32 tracks in 64 minutes and I personally have had a lot of fun of doing it and like the result (although I know that I’m far away of being a DJ or what) – So, maybe this is also interesting for you.

Eine Frage, die man sich schon auch mal stellen muss: Wer hat eigentlich die größte Schallplattensammlung der Welt? Es gibt sogar eine Antwort. Paul Mawhinney heißt der Mann. Seine Sammlung umfasst mehr als eine Millionen Platten und eineinhalb Millionen Singles. Der Kurzfilm »The Archive« von Sean Dunne gibt mehr Aufschluss:

Paul Mawhinney was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Over the years he has amassed what has become the world’s largest record collection. Due to health issues and a struggling record industry Paul is being forced to sell his collection.

Das Ende der Krise der Musikwirtschaft

Logisch aufgebaut mit ausgereifter Schlussfolgerung: »Akzeptiert man das jetzige, mehrheitliche Nutzerverhalten im Netz als Realität und versucht ein Angebot zu machen, dann führt kein Weg an einer Form der Flatrate vorbei«. Laut einer von der Industrie in Auftrag gegebener GfK Studie gibt es in Deutschland 14.3 Millionen Musikkäufer. Das sind 17.4 % der Bevölkerung und diese geben im Schnitt mehr als 9 Euro pro Monat für CDs und Downloads aus. Würde man den 31.8 Millionen Kunden der ISPs eine Musikflatrate anbieten, die in bester Datenqualität für 9.99 Euro im Monat legal alle verfügbare Musik zum Download vorhält, sobald sie ans Radio und zu Journalisten gelangt und prozentual der gleiche Anteil an Musiknutzern diese annehmen, entstünde ein Umsatz der jährlich über 663 Millionen beträgt.

Ob das eine Milchmädchenrechnung ist, wird sich mit Sicherheit noch zeigen.
